Employers' Liability Insurance

If you have someone working for you and they are under your instruction, it is more than likely you are going to need employer’s liability.

In insurance terms, an employee can be anything from a permanent employee to a freelancer or even a volunteer! The Employers’ Liability Act 1969 outlines that it is compulsory to have at least a minimum level of insurance cover against claims.

Employers are responsible for the health and safety of their employees while they are at work. Your employees may be injured at work or they, or your former employees, may become ill as a result of the work they did while in your employment. They are entitled to claim compensation from you if they believe you are responsible for an injury or illness that they have suffered from.

Our Employers’ Liability cover will cover you all over the globe for employees that domicile in the United Kingdom for up to £10,000,000. Please bear in mind if you are hiring someone that does not domicile in the UK, then you would have to source cover from the country they reside from. This is because employment laws differ in every country so there cannot be a cover to suit them all.
